Our Community Need

The Memphis-MdSouth Affiliate service area encompasses an 5-county area including DeSoto, Fayette, Shelby, Tipton and Tunica counties. Our profile was compiled with the help of several key people involved in the health community ranging from private hospitals to metro and regional health departments.

During this process, we developed a deep appreciation for the need for further ongoing collaboration to address breast health and specific needs within our community. We are working to reaffirm existing and develop new relationships with service providers, community organizations, and volunteers who are excited about further collaboration and committed to improving the breast health in our community. Knowledge gained during this process will also enable our Grants and Education Committees to ensure the most important issues remain a priority for our granting dollars and educational efforts.
