A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
Except for skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, but it can be successfully treated. Screening tests can find cancer early, when it’s most treatable.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® recommends that you:
1. Know your risk
2. Get screened
3. Know what is normal for you
See your health care provider if you notice any of these breast changes:
4. Make healthy lifestyle choices
Women should be aware of how their breasts normally look and feel. Knowing what is normal for you may enable you to note changes in your breast in the time between your yearly mammogram and/or clinical breast exam. This tool developed in English, Spanish, Hindi and most recently Chinese, will help you learn and promote breast self-awareness. It will also teach you how to look and feel for any changes in your breasts. Use the links below to view this interactive instructional tool.
(To view the online BSA tool you need Macromedia Flash installed on your computer. Macromedia Flash is available for download free.)
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® offers a variety of BSA cards in different languages and for specific populations. You can download and print BSA cards for yourself.
