Team FAQ

How do I join or form a team?
If you haven't registered for the Race yet, you can click here to register online and select "Start a Team" or "Join a Team." Search for the name of the team you want to join and select it. If you are already registered for the Race, you need to contact the Race  Teams committee if you want to form or join a team.

One of my team members registered as an individual when they meant to join my team. How do they correct this?
Thank you for registering for the Race. In order to change your registration from individual to team member, please send an email to info@komenmemphis.org with the individual's name and the team name they'd like to be added to.

What is a Team Page?
Your Team page is a Web page that people can visit to find a team member or give a donation that supports the fundraising efforts of the entire team. Although the default Team page contains sample text and photos, your Team Captain can customize this page to make it a creative expression of the Team commitment to Komen and our fight against breast cancer.

How do I register if my company is paying my registration fee?
Please contact your team captain regarding payment by your company. 

Does a registration count towards my team/personal goal?
No, only donations will count towards your thermometer total.

Does a donation to a team make me a team member?
No, you must register to be put on a particular team

What are some ways I can fundraise for my team/my individual goal?

How do I collect donations?
There are 3 ways to make donations.       

1. Online - The Participant Center houses your personal fundraising website.  There, you will find e-mail templates to make sending e-mails to your friends and families as easy as can be!  From the Participant Center you are able to set up your personal web page,   send e-mails to friends, co-workers and connect with friends on Facebook. Be sure to check your participant center often for new donations and messages. Thanks for making an impact and we'll see you at the Race!

2. Mail - Click Here to download a Donation Form and mail with your donations to:

3. In Person - Click Here to download a Donation and bring with your donations to our Affiliate Office located at:

   (Located in the West Court)

• Make checks payable to:  Komen Memphis-MidSouth
  
  
• All donations MUST be received at our Affiliate Office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, 11/29/12 or online by Midnight, Thursday, 11/29/12 for donations to be credited toward your fundraising goal.  Any forms received after that date will be counted as general Race donations.
  
  
• All donations must be accompanied by our Donation Form to ensure proper credit to a team or individual.
