Does a registration count towards my team/personal goal?
No, only donations will count towards your thermometer total.

Does a donation to a team make me a team member?
No, you must register to be put on a particular team.

Does the Komen Race for the Cure® require fundraising?
You are not required to fundraise, but we do encourage all participants to fundraise above the entry fee. Just Imagine the IMPACT - If every Race participant raises just $10 in addition to their registration fee, we would bring in an additional $200,000 to support local screening, treatment and educational programs in our community!

Does the money raised stay right here in our community?
Yes! For every dollar that Komen Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate raises, 75% stays here in our community for local breast health care programs.  The remaining 25% goes to breast cancer research. 

How do I collect donations?
There are 3 ways to make donations.       

1. Online - The Participant Center houses your personal fundraising website.  There, you will find e-mail templates to make sending e-mails to your friends and families as easy as can be!  From the Participant Center you are able to set up your personal web page,   send e-mails to friends, co-workers and connect with friends on Facebook. Be sure to check your participant center often for new donations and messages. Thanks for making an impact and we'll see you at the Race!

• Make checks payable to:  Komen Memphis-MidSouth
  
  
• All donations MUST be received at our Affiliate Office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, 11/29/12 or online by Midnight, Thursday, 11/29/12 for donations to be credited toward your fundraising goal.  Any forms received after that date will be counted as general Race donations.
  
  
• All donations must be accompanied by our Donation Form to ensure proper credit to a team or individual.
