Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Rewards Incentive Program 

As a thank you for raising money and collecting donations in the fight against breast cancer, the Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate is offering participants who raise $250, $500, $750, $1,000 and more their choice of name brand merchandise.  This year, the fundraising deadline has been extended to Wednesday, November 30, 2011.  That means that you have until 5p on Wednesday, November 30th to turn in all of your donations or direct family and friends to make an online donation via your Participant Center. 

Once fundraising ends, we will calculate your fundraising level and notify you via email regarding the prize level that you have reached. 

• Top 20 Fundraisers - You will receive an email with instructions on how to pick up your Top 20 Prize (from the list below) from the Affiliate Office AND how to redeem your prize online via the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Rewards Incentive Program.  Click Here for the  2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Rewards Incentive Program levels and prize options! (Incentive program rewards will be mailed directly to your house.)    
• If you raised more than $250, you will receive an email with instructions on how to redeem your prize online via the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Rewards Incentive Program.  Click Here for the  2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Rewards Incentive Program levels and prize options!  (Incentive program rewards will be mailed directly to your house.)    
• If you raised between $150 and $249.99, you will receive an email with instructions on how to pick up your prizes from the Affiliate Office.  

 You should expect to receive an email from us by December 14th.  If you have not received an email from us by December 14th, please contact our Affiliate Office at info@komenmemphis.org or 901.757.8686.  

NEW PRIZES AND PRIZE LEVEL ADDED

• Every participant that raises between $150 and $249.99 will receive a 2011 Race T-shirt (requested size not guaranteed) and a Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate Koozie.
• All participants that raise at least $250 will be eligible to select a prize through the Incentive Program. 
• In addition to the reward chosen from the Incentive Program, the Top 20 Fundraisers will also receive a gift from the following list.  The gifts will be selected in descending order – so whoever raises the most gets to choose first!

o    40” Dynex LCD TV (donated by Best Buy) (2) 

o    American Airlines Roundtrip Coach Class Ticket (3) 

o    $100 Fresh Market Gift Card (1)

Team Awards
Team awards help drive the friendly competition that makes each year better than the last! Numbers for awards are calculated for registrations and donations received by a specific date. Team members may continue to raise funds up until Wednesday, November 30. Please note that any registrations or funds collected after the cut-off date will not be considered for award calculation purposes.
We recognize the following Team Award Categories:

• Largest Team (Most Participants) in Each Category
• Top Fundraising Team in Each Category

IMAGINE THE IMPACT

How does a 5K Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever?  Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.

You don't need to be a fundraising expert to be successful at it – you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference.  Thanks to people like you, in 2011 the Komen Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate was able to grant over $775,000 for education, screening and treatment services in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, Tunica and DeSoto counties and over $300,000 to research.  This year we're aiming even higher!  If every Race participant raised an average of $100 over the registration fee, the Komen Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate would raise an additional $2,000,000.  Together, we can save lives!

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you registered for the Race you automatically received your own fundraising website which can be personalized. Start now by logging in, and encouraging everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and make a donation on your behalf. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays right here in the local community! The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.
